Adoption Fee Details

When you adopt a pet from The Humane Society, your adoption fee covers a number of vaccinations, plus spay/neuter costs. Here are the fees and what you get for them:

*Every Adoption of a Dog Includes:

  • Rabies Vaccination (if age appropriate)
  • Distemper (Includes Parvo/Adenovirus/Parainfluenza Vaccination)
  • Bordetella Vaccination
  • Fecal Check for Parasites & De-worming
  • Flea Preventative
  • Spay or Neuter
  • Free Veterinary Visit at Any Participating Vet
  • Microchipping, if Dog Has Been Spayed/Neutered at Our Facility
  • Fees as follows:
    • Spayed Females: $187.50;
    • Neutered Males: $172.50;
    • Puppies: $150.50

*Puppies and Un-altered Dogs fees include a $35.00 deposit which is refundable once the dog is altered.

Every Adoption of a Cat Includes:

  • Rabies Vaccination (if age appropriate)
  • Rhinotracheitis/Calicivirus/Distemper Combination Vaccination
  • FeLV/FIV (Feline Leukemia/Feline AIDS) Testing
  • Fecal Check for Parasites & De-worming
  • Flea Preventative
  • Spay or Neuter
  • Free Veterinary Visit at Any Participating Vet
  • Fees as follows:
    • Adult Cats (9  months thru 7-years): $65.00;
    • Kittens (Through 8 months of age): $85.00;  Two Kittens for $150.00
    • Senior Cats (8 years of age an older): $55.00
