The Humane Society would like to thank Matthews Subaru for hosting their most recent fundraising event for The Humane Society. This past weekend Matthews Subaru offered Pet Photos with Santa and Pet ID tags for $5. 100% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to The Humane Society. Over the past year Matthews has held multiple pet friendly events to raise awareness for animal safety and funds to help support The Humane Society. The money raised by Matthews has offset our spay and neuter expenses by roughly 15%. In addition to raising money for The Humane Society’s vet fund, the supplies Matthews collected from their generous customers and employees has helped feed hundreds of animals. The Humane Society is an independent, non-profit animal welfare organization. We receive no government funding and are dedicated to preventing animal cruelty and finding homes for companion animals. We serve the community by sheltering animals, finding them homes, investigating reports of animal cruelty, educating people of all ages, and rescuing animals from threatening situations. The Humane Society has taken in 549 animals between January 1, 2012 to November 30, 2012. As of November 30, 2012, 457 of them have been adopted to loving forever homes.
Thank you again to Matthews for your continued support.

Thank you to our community from The Humane Society Board of Directors
As 2011 comes to a close, we at The Humane Society would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to our community for the support you have shown us this past year.
This year proved to be even more challenging than previous years. The flood in September impacted many of our friends, families, co-workers and small businesses. Our shelter was no exception. All of our animals had to be evacuated. Thanks to the efforts of our staff and volunteers all animals were safely relocated.
We received an outpour of donations, supplies and offers of help. Because of this, you the community have made it possible for us to continue our work to help abused & neglected animals, to provide food, shelter and medication to those animals in need and to find new, forever homes for each and every one of them.
Jamie Koliander, Board of Directors

Thank you to all of our community members who helped to support our First Annual Humane Society Duck Derby.
During the Derby, we were challenged with some “run away” ducks and we were amazed at the many spectators who literally “jumped in” and help us to corral them up. Due to everyone’s quick thinking and helpfulness, we were able to capture the majority!
A special thank you goes out to the kind staff at the Holiday Inn for being a very generous host for our event. In addition, thank you to our many vendors, and volunteers who each played a critical role in helping to make the Duck Derby a success and fun filled day for all.
