DESCRIPTION:In an effort to give back to the community that supports us\, we are pleased to offer a series of free rabies clinics to support the residence of Broome County. \nAll clinics will be held from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at The Humane Society located at 167 Conklin Avenue in Binghamton on the following dates:  \n\nTuesday\, June 29th\nWednesday\, July 28th\nMonday\, August 23rd\n\nThings to remember:  \n\nA record of prior vaccination is required for a three year immunization certificate. If no record is presented\, a one year vaccination certification will be issued.\nAll dogs must be on a leash. *No retractable leashes are permitted.\nAll cats must be secured in a crate. *Leashes are not permitted for cats.\nAll pets must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is able to hold the animal during vaccination.\nPuppies and kittens must be at least 3 months old.\nCleaning up after your pet is required.\nMasks are required at all times.\nPlease maintain control over your animal and keep away from other animals as much as possible.\n\nUpon Arrival:  \n\nIf the parking lot is full\, please park across the street.\nThe clinic entrance will be at the far end of the building\, closest to the grass. Please dress accordingly as you may be waiting outside.\nClinic will be held rain or shine.\nVaccinations are first come\, first serve. When the doses are gone\, clinic will close. We will do our best to minimize waiting and alert you when we have no doses available.

DESCRIPTION:Help us Fill the Trailer!\nThanks to Chenango Valley Girl Scout\, we have a beautiful trailer that we are hoping to fill with much needed supplies for the animals here at the Shelter.\nWe invite you to drop off donations from the following list to the trailer located in the parking lot of the Humane Society shelter located at 167 Conklin Ave\, Binghamton between Tuesday\, August 17th – Saturday\, August 21st.\n\nCanned Food (Paté)\nPurina Cat Chow\nAdvantage or Frontline\nBlankets and Towels\nBleach\nBrooms\nDawn Dish Soap and Dish Sponges\nDish/Latex/Rubber/Work Gloves\nHand Soap/Hand Sanitizer\nHose Spray Nozzles and 75’ – 100’ Non-Kink Hos\n\nNicola DiLuzio is a Chenango Valley senior\, and a member of Girl Scout Troop 30966. In working toward her Gold Award (the equivalent of the Eagle Scout for the Boy Scouts)\, she took on a project in which she raised funds to purchase a somewhat dilapidated horse trailer. Nicola’s goal was to have the horse trailer refurbished\, then donate it to the Broome County Humane Society for transport of large animals. \nNicola reached out to Broome–Tioga BOCES to inquire about the trade students performing the work needed on the trailer. BOCES accepted the project\, and the work began pre-pandemic. Nicola and the BOCES students recently finished the project and presented it to the Broome County Humane Society at the BOCES trade school back in late May. \nThe trailer is now at The Broome County Humane Society located on 167 Conklin Ave in Binghamton! We are thrilled to run a supply drive to “Fill the Trailer” starting Monday\, August 9th through Tuesday\, August 17th.
